GORILLA SAFARIS UGANDA’S BEST
DAYS ONE AND TWO
Morning pick up from your overnight accommodation in Kampala. Start
4-5 hour drive to Murchison Falls National Park. Transfer to the
magnificent Top of the Falls where you will enjoy your picnic lunch
as you marvel at the Mighty Nile being forced into seven metre crevice
to thunder 5 meters below in a series of cascades. The Nile can
be viewed at different points to he Baker’s Summit.
Game viewing, escorted by game ranger you may opt for a game walk
while trailing animals and studying animal spoors. Game in this
area include giraffe, elephant, hart beest, lion, Uganda Kob, oribi
and a variety of savannah and woodland birds. This is a paradise
of the Hippo and Crocodiles. Meals and overnight at Paraa Safari
Lodge.
DAY THREE
Breakfast early, then transfer to Budongo forest for a half day
primate walk in search of primates. On the walk, you may see black
and white colubus monkey, red tailed monkey, Baboon, Grey cheeked
mangebeys or the chimpanzee. After lunch in Masindi transfer to
Kampala for dinner and overnight at the Sheraton Hotel.
DAY FOUR AND FIVE
Depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park. En route, you could stop
by the Uganda Equator to take pictures or shop for a souvenir. After
lunch at the Lake View Hotel in Mbarara, head for the east African
Rift Valley before arriving in Queen Elizabeth National Park. After
an evening game drive, transfer to your accommodations for dinner
and overnight at. On the second day, morning game drive as this
is the best time for opportunities of seeing cats in action. Afternoon
take another boat cruise on the Kazinga for solitary Buffalo, hippo
and other birds like the terns and gulls congregate her in large
flocks. Mweya Safari Lodge.
DAY SIX AND SEVEN
After a relaxed breakfast, transfer to the gorilla sanctuary through
this beautiful mountain scenery referred to as the little Switzerland.
Dinner and overnight at Gorilla Forest Camp. After breakfast and
briefing by park ranger guides. With picnic lunch, start a 30 minutes
– 8 hours trek to find the mountain gorillas. Night stay at
Gorilla Forest Camp or Mgahinga Safari Lodge.
DAY EIGHT
After breakfast, transfer to Mbarara arriving in time for lunch
at the Lakeview Hotel. Later head for Kampala and transfer to your
accommodations.
