CHIMPANZEE TREKKING IN WESTERN UGANDA

DAY ONE
Meet and greet at the airport transfer to Kampala for safari briefing. Overnight at Kampala Sheraton Hotel. Transit time 1 hour.

DAY TWO
After breakfast your driver/guide will take you to Mbarara where you will have lunch. Later, head for the Rift valley to arrive at the edge of Maramagambo Forest for an evening forest walk around the Blue Lake and the Bat Caves in the Maramagambo forest in search of chimpanzee and other forest dwellers. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge. Transit time 6 hours.

DAY THREE
Early morning breakfast before heading to Kyambura Gorge on a forest walk in search of the primates. Your half day will be spent in the gorge with picnic lunches thereafter, transfer to Kibale Forest National Park for dinner and overnight at Mantana Luxury Camp. Transit time 5 hours.

DAY FOUR
Breakfast early, then start a morning chimp walk in the Kibale Forest while you trek the Chimpanzees. On the walk you may see grey cheeked mangabeys, red tailed monkeys, black and white colubus monkeys, red colubus and other wildlife. Lunch will be had at the Camp. In the evening, take a nocturnal primate walk in the forest to see the pottos and the galagos. Later return for dinner and overnight at Mantana Luxury Camp. All day activities.

DAY FIVE
Early morning breakfast before heading to Kampala for lunch. Thereafter, travel to Entebbe for dinner and overnight at the Windsor Lake Victoria Hotel. Transit time 7 hours.

DAY SIX
After breakfast take a boat on Lake Victoria for a morning visit of the Jade Goodall Chimpanzee Sanctuary on Ngamba Island. Return later in the day and transfer to the airport for your afternoon flight.
